Book Recommendations?

I'm looking from some book recommendations. I'm 15 years old and love to read, but i'd really like to try something new.

I dont really like fantasy that much. (I've been spoiled by harry potter and can't read anything else) But other than that i'm not very picky. Please dont recommend books by authors like Sarah Dessen or Stephenie Myer.

Here are some books i've read since december that i've really enjoyed:

- White Oleander

- My Sister's Keeper

- Never let me go

- It's not about the bike

- the things they carried

- Catcher in the Rye

- Into thin air

- Henry and June :O

- the poisonwood bible

- Jane Austen book club

I'm in the middle of a Bill Bryson book right now, which I also really enjoy.

You might also like novels by James Nelson. He writes historical fiction and the story lines are very good.

There's also Douglas Adams. You said no fantasy, but it's nothing like Harry Potter.
Reply:do you like horror? i have two books published that are horror. they are full of short horror stories mostly vampire and poetry in the back. they can be found on amazon and on www.publishamerica.com under my pen name Michelle Patricia Noble. you might like looking those up. i also suggest this book called the worst witch. i forget the author but you can find it on www.powells.com
